Lots of exciting things are in the works for Ursula and all of her many projects in 2016!
The fall semester was busy, busy in terms of projects and jobs -- Ursula was a teaching assistant for the 1st year Columbia MFA course, Elements of Dramatic Narrative, taught by Andy Bienen (Boys Don't Cry), and very much enjoyed helping her eleven students develop feature film treatments over the course of the semester to take into their first feature screenwriting classes this spring. She also began working at Cine Mosaic in October, Academy award nominated and Emmy winning producer Lydia Dean Pilcher's company, assisting with development on a number of projects.
This is Not a Love Song is nearing picture lock this month, then will go on to color correction at Company 3 in Chicago with friend and previous collaborator Tyler Roth, as well as sound design with on-set sound recordist Bill Pierce of Metedeconk Films. Then onto festival submissions!
For George on his 30th Birthday is also in the midst of editing, then onto finishing and festival submissions as well!
She has also begun development on her first feature film project, Anomalies, and exciting updates on that endeavor will follow soon, in addition to updates regarding a brand new short film project, entitled Crick in the Holler, Ursula's MFA thesis short, currently slated to be shot December 2016 at her family home in West Virginia.
Stay tuned for more updates -- 2016 is off to a bright start with much more to come!
